I worked in Dr. Carol Taylor's lab from 2016-2018.
Dr. Taylor's group is involved in two main projects.
Joshua Lutz, Samuel Kutty, and Jordan Perry are currently involved in the synthesis of microbisporicin, a powerful antibiotic. Elora Doskey and Simon Felder contributed to this project.
Jyoti Mukherjee is currently working on the synthesis of Theonellamide C, a bicyclic peptide with antifungal properties. Joyeeta Roy contributed to this effort.
The projects undertaken by this group all have medicinal applications. Though I did not work on either of these projects, being a part of this group showed me that I care about science most when it can be applied to the betterment of others.
